This type of access control system includes a two door controller, a keypad, a card reader, proximity cards, and FOB’s. To inspect and monitor more than two doors, an expansion pack needs to be bought. This kind of access control system is capable of being on a network, reporting transactions in real time. It can also monitor a person’s movements with an access device or code via the system in real time as well. To limit a person’s access to certain areas of your organization, you can also program the time and access zones down to a certain area at a certain time. Video surveillance systems can be installed in some of the access control systems as well. For instance, an IP camera is linked to the access system of your organization, and an employee has to use his ID badge to enter through the door.
